My name is Juan C. Venancio, and I’m a sophomore in Dunster House born and raised in Houston, Texas. I am pursuing a concentration in Government, secondary in Economics, and a language citation in Mandarin Chinese, and I am this term’s Citizenship Tutoring Chair. Cit-Tut is a program that is very dear to my heart because of my own personal experiences with immigration & refugee advocacy work. I’m looking forward to strengthening this program and providing current and future generations of Harvard students the opportunity to participate in such a positive experience. Outside of the IOP, I serve as Advocacy Caucus Chair for the Undergraduate Council, policy researcher through the Harvard Undergraduate Foreign Policy Initiative, and peer mentor through DRCLAS. In my free time, I love to learn world languages, exercise, and spend quality time with friends and family.
