Janna Ramadan
Politics of Race and Ethnicity

My name is Janna Ramadan, and I am a sophomore from East Boston, MA in Currier House pursuing a joint concentration in Government and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Being Palestinian-American and growing up in a single-mother household, my interest in public service is rooted in international relations, representation, and inclusivity. I firmly believe that politics is more capable of serving its community when it reflects its community, and that goes beyond racial demographics alone. This year at the IOP, I am so excited to serve as Co-Chair of the Politics of Race and Ethnicity and look forward to collaborating with student organizations and affinity groups to broaden the scope of our conversations. Apart from PRE, I served as Director of Collaboration for the Harvard Votes Challenge and was a member of IOP Policy Program and the Fellows Search Committee. Outside of the IOP, I serve as Co-Political Action Chair for the Society of Arab Students and Deputy Director for Harvard’s Intercollegiate Model UN team. In my free time, you’ll find me spending time with my little brother, going on walks, snacking on fruit, or watching stand-up comedy clips.
