Gaia Alexandra Negrini
My name is Gaia Alexandra Negrini, and I am a junior (Class of 2027) from Bologna, Italy, living in Adams House and studying Applied Mathematics and Psychology. I am the Co-Chair of the Global Affairs Program (GAP), the first and only IOP program focused exclusively on global affairs, dedicated to preparing and amplifying the voices of the next generation of diplomats and global leaders.
Over the next year, I hope to keep developing our two speaker series and pre-professional initiatives, while also cultivating a close-knit community of students united by a shared passion for international affairs. I previously served as Director of Careers and later Deputy Chair of GAP, as well as Chief of Staff for IOP Resident Fellow Ann Simmons through the Fellows and Study Groups Program (FSG).
Outside of the IOP, I am the Co-founder and President of the Harvard Undergraduate European Initiative (HUEI), serve on the executive board of the European Conference at HKS, and work as a research assistant at the Harvard Intergroup Neuroscience Lab. Off campus, I interned at Integrity Initiatives International, where I contributed to efforts to advance the establishment of an International Anti-Corruption Court, and conducted research and advocacy for the Gulf Centre for Human Rights.
In my free time, I enjoy learning languages, traveling, reading legal thrillers, and making Italian espresso for my friends.
