Ethan Jasny
My name is Ethan Jasny and I’m a member of the Class of 2025 living in Mather House. I study government, data science, and statistics. I’m the Chair of the Harvard Public Opinion Project (HPOP) at the Institute of Politics, which conducts the nation's most comprehensive poll of young Americans every semester. I’m passionate about examining the key issues facing my generation and illuminating the hopes and fears of fellow young Americans. I believe in the power of data to improve the quality of our democracy and bridge the gap between politicians and the people they represent. I also write and edit for the Harvard Political Review. Outside the Institute of Politics, I work as a research assistant at Harvard’s Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies and help run Harvard Model Congress, the nation’s largest congressional simulation for high schoolers. You can also find me out on the ice, curling with the Harvard Club Curling Team. In my free time, I enjoy playing the bass guitar and rooting for the perpetual underdog New York Yankees.
