Erik Dalaker

Global Affairs Program (GAP)

My name is Erik Dalaker and I am a sophomore (Class of 2027) from Rennesøy, Norway in Cabot House studying Government and Modern Middle East Studies. I am the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Global Affairs Program (GAP), the first and only program in the IOP focused exclusively on global affairs, aiming to foster a community dedicated to international relations and diplomacy at Harvard.

Leading GAP in its inaugural year, I am very excited to continue developing our World Stage and Diplomatic Dialogue speaker series, as well as focusing on implementing pre-professional opportunities such as our mentorship program and career fair.

Outside of the IOP, I serve as President of the Harvard Undergraduate Nordic Club, Communications Director for the European Conference at HKS, and Student Ambassador for the Harvard Center for International Development. In my free time, I like to learn languages, travel, go to concerts, and do outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and climbing.
