Dhara Patel
My name is Dhara Patel, and I am a sophomore (Class of 2027) from Modesto, California in Dunster House studying Government & Integrative Biology. I am the Director of Organizing and Special Projects, which leads efforts in community outreach, aiming to extend the reach of IOP projects through strategic partnership with local organizations, government bodies, and other key stakeholders, as well as offering mobilization and canvassing opportunities both locally and nationally.
Over the next year, I am looking forward to empowering students through connections across IOP programs and coalitions to create spaces where identity and organizing intersect, bridging the gap between academic theory and the realities of politics. I also serve on the Fellows and Study Groups leadership, was previously the Deputy Director of Organizing and Special Projects, and have been involved with the Harvard Political Review and the Policy Program.
Apart from the IOP, I am a staffer for Harvard Model Congress, and serve as a member for the PBHA Small Claims Advisory Service. In my free time, I can be found discussing health policy, running, or rating different matcha brands.
