Choetsow Tenzin
Politics of Race and Ethnicity

My name is Choetsow Tenzin and I am a sophomore associated with Lowell house studying Social Studies with a secondary in Education. Growing up as a Tibetan American I have always been interested in international issues and the intersection of culture and politics. Some particular issues I care about are student mental health, prison reformation in the United States, education reform, immigration, and human rights. I am honored to serve as a co-chair for the Politics of Race and Ethnicity. I am excited to create an inclusive space where students feel encouraged and safe to share their perspectives. Similarly, I also hope to provide opportunities where team members can grow as student leaders and challenge themselves to think of new solutions to issues we deal with every day. Outside of PRE, I am a part of IOP Policy Writing where I served as a co-chair for the commissions on Education and Immigration. On-campus I also am a part of AADT, HIR, Crimson Flyby, and work as an admissions UMRP coordinator. Some of my favorite outside school activities include hiking, finding new music on Spotify, and trying new food spots in Boston.
