Bella Evans
My name is Bella Evans, and I am a junior (Class of 2027) from Orcas Island, Washington, in Mather House, studying Sociology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I am so excited to be this year's HPU Chair, the oldest collegiate debate society in the Western Hemisphere. We are the center for debate on Harvard's campus, bringing together students with diverse perspectives from myriad backgrounds to facilitate intellectually rigorous discussion of all things political, shaping the minds of our next generation of leaders. Over the next year, I am looking forward to expanding the HPU community and diversify the perspectives we engage with.
Outside of the IOP, I am the Director of Community Engagement for the Small Claims Advisory Service, and I intern part-time with RISE, a nonprofit organization that empowers everyday citizens to pass their own civil rights laws. In my free time, I like to draw, read, and be outdoors!
