Anoushka Lal
My name is Anoushka Lal, and I am a sophomore (Class of 2028) from Chicago, Illinois, living in Leverett House and concentrating in Social Studies. I am honored to serve as the Co-Chair of the Fellows and Study Groups Program in its 60th year! The Fellows Program brings influential politicians, journalists, and public servants to Harvard’s campus as Residential Fellows, where they share their expertise through weekly study groups. What makes the program truly special, however, are the close relationships formed between Fellows and students, as well as the breadth of ideological perspectives and conversations that unfold over the semester. In the coming year, I look forward to facilitating even richer dialogue and shared experiences within this community of thoughtful, kind, and open-minded students.
Beyond this role, I am involved with the IOP’s Women in Leadership and the Conferences programs, and I previously served as Director of Internal Affairs on the Student Advisory Committee. Outside of the IOP, I am interested in investigating policies that expand socioeconomic opportunity in the United States and currently conduct research at the HKS Wiener Center for Social Policy. In my free time, you can find me browsing thrift markets, dissecting the latest A24 film, or singing along to just about anything!
