Taylor Woods-Gauthier

Taylor is Director of Fellows and Study Groups at the Institute of Politics. Prior to this role, she spent seven years as a program director in Executive Education at HKS, where she ran a diverse portfolio of programs, including the flagship Senior Executives in State & Local Government program.

Taylor has a wealth of political experience at the local, state, and federal level with a focus on women's political representation. She has served as the Executive Director of Emerge Massachusetts, an organization that recruits and trains Democratic women to run for office, and as Deputy Director and founding staff member for Political Parity, a program of Hunt Alternatives Fund that aimed to double the number of women in Congress and governorships.

Prior to joining HKS, Taylor was Director of Sector Leadership & Transformation at Health Leads, a national organization working to integrate social needs into healthcare delivery across the country. She began her career managing the Connecticut state senate office of now-U.S. Senator Chris Murphy and has served on numerous campaigns, including Senator Murphy's first congressional campaign. Taylor received her BA in political science from the University of Connecticut and lives in Somerville.
