Nora Doherty
Nora Doherty is a Program Manager at the IOP where she helps to bring thoughtful conversations and meaningful programs to students and the Harvard community. Prior to joining the team at the IOP, she spent nearly a decade shaping events and strategy at the local and federal levels. Most recently, she served as the Trip and Event Director at the U.S. Department of Labor, leading high-profile engagements for the Secretary of Labor and collaborating with partners across government and the private sector.
Prior to her time in D.C., she worked for the City of Boston in a variety of roles, including planning major public events, supporting Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s office, and developing programs that connected residents more deeply with civic life. With a background in event management, strategic partnerships, and public engagement, she is passionate about creating spaces where ideas and people come together.
Nora spent her undergraduate years at Fordham University in the Bronx where she received her B.A. in English, and attended Boston University where she received a Master’s in City Planning. When she’s not working, you can find her exploring the coast of Maine and losing trivia with friends.
