Erica Hodes

Erica joined the Institute of Politics in September 2025 and serves as the Director of Internships and Career Services. She provides advising to students around all aspects of careers in public service and ensures resources and opportunities are available to students via several internship, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Previously, she ran the marquee Capstone program for the Business Analytics office at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and prior to that she oversaw career advising and employer relations for the MPP and MBA programs at the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.

Erica holds a B.A. in History and International Relations from the University of Denver and an M.A. in History from Boston College, where she also pursued doctoral studies.

She is a West Coast transplant from Washington State and currently resides in Newton with her husband and two children.
