*11/5: ) How does this work in other countries?  Every government secretly wishes it could have more control over the media, and some do more than others. China is very challenging to cover, Turkey has tried to ban YouTube and has intimidated journalists in many ways. France and Singapore have surprising influence, as well as other countries where you wouldn't expect. In Argentina, the president has been in a long running battle with the biggest media company. How the media interacts with campaigns and elections in other countries should be explored as well, including some of the biggest names in US political consulting being hired by campaigns overseas.
