International Rescue Committee

**New to 2018**

A Director's Internship at IRC introduces interns to the field of humanitarian assistance. The International Rescue Committee responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. The mission of the IRC is to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future.

Attracted by the IRC's spirit and tradition of service, interns return to their studies changed by the experience. As congressional aides, journalists, researchers and staff of other relief and human rights organizations, they are among the world’s best advocates for refugees. Interns have also continued on as dedicated and successful employees of the IRC.

The IRC internship program is designed to enhance the academic, professional and life experiences of interns in addition to supporting the health, protection and education work of the IRC.
