Global Health Corps (GHC) mobilizes a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity. GHC believes young leaders with diverse backgrounds and a deep commitment to collaboration, innovation, and social justice are going to revolutionize how the world tackles its toughest health challenges. We strongly believe our GHC community is the new breed of leaders that the world desperately needs.

Through a competitive recruitment process, we identify daring and innovative university graduates and early- to mid-career professionals from around the world and pair them with amazing partner organizations and government agencies in the US, East Africa, and Southern Africa. Our fellows spend a year in their placement devoting their unstoppable energy to making the world a healthier place for all people, everywhere. Whether they are working with a small grassroots organization like HIPS in Washington, DC to ensure sex workers have access to critical health services, or with the Ministry of Health in Zambia researching patient use of HIV testing and counseling, each fellow plays an essential role in the health equity movement. For more information, visit our website.

This internship will be based in their New York City headquarters, and there are a variety of internship options available. Please specify in your cover letter which internship(s) within Global Health Corps you would prefer.

Development Intern

The GHC Development Intern will be a key member of the Development Team and play an integral support role in the fundraising operations of a growing international organization. Past projects have included extensively researching potential new funding streams, drafting grant proposals and reports, and ownership over the systems that keep our small-but-mighty fundraising crew on track. The internship is a perfect fit for someone interested in learning the ins-and-outs of a fast-paced non-profit organization while maintaining an ability to communicate impact concisely and effectively, and requires strong existing skills in research, writing, and strategic thinking.

Global Talent Intern

The Global Talent team at GHC is looking for a superstar intern who loves supporting teammates around the world and leveraging culture through fun events for our summer squad. The intern will get a behind-the-scenes look at the organizational capacity of a growing, international health nonprofit operating like a fast-paced startup. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and execution-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple innovative projects that will enable GHC's community of young leaders to revolutionize the way we tackle health challenges.

Operations Intern

The Operations Intern will play a significant role on the fast-paced Central Operations Team, assisting with a range of responsibilities which may include finance, fellow selection, security monitoring, and office management. This highly detail-oriented, creative problem solver will have the opportunity to own and develop his/her projects with a front row seat to see what it takes to support our partner teams in the U.S. and Africa. Potential projects include assisting with fellow on-boarding and travel logistics, supporting organization-wide security monitoring, managing our external email accounts, and compiling/analyzing data to review our fellow selection process.

Program Intern

Summer program interns are critical to the success of GHC's incredible two-week Yale Training Institute, the annual gathering of the incoming class of outstanding global fellows. Interns are involved in all aspects of Global Health Corps I 2016 Summer Internships 3 planning and implementation, including coordinating speakers and events, preparing materials and procuring supplies, and running the check-in process at the Institute. Program interns provide additional support to our US Country staff, alumni team, and monitoring and evaluation work. Top-notch attention to detail and a head for logistics are crucial attributes of successful interns, who will get to experience the running of a large-scale leadership development program from the inside-out.
