“Freddie & Fannie: Where They've Been, What To Do With Them”

In the 2012 Glauber Lecture, Charles E. Haldeman, former CEO of Freddie Mac, discusses the government sponsored enterprises, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Haldeman outlines the key contributions that both Fannie and Freddie have made to society, as well as their recent mistakes. Haldeman encourages a fair and balanced examination of the factors that led to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s role in the recent financial crisis. The event, cosponsored by the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, is moderated by Robert Glauber, HKS Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy.
